Holguín is a city of Cuba, capital of the homonymous province since 1976. Until then it was part of the former Oriente province. It has been known historically as the City of Parks. The most central park is Calixto García in the center of the city. Close to this park are: The Provincial Center of Art and Bayado galleries, a library, the Casa de la Trova club.
